With the first week jitters out of our system, our staff have settled down and delivered another action packed week for our teen campers. The opportunity to go sailing (to which we owe a big thanks to the Sea Cadets) was a definite highlight to the week.
(Big smiles before they set sail)
In the morning each sailor attended an info session which was followed by a half hour on the lake in the afternoon. The ones who had yet to sail, or had already done it and returned, were kept busy with sponge wars, swimming, terrarium building and our archery and slingshot sessions.

The 9 camp days (going back to K-Day) in a row of beautifully hot and dry weather has come to an end in stormy fashion today. Fortunately, we were able to pull out a Western themed game of clue before the wet and wild storm found our camp. Our field was starting to look mighty thirsty, and here’s hoping that the lush greenness returns in short order.

Our vespers, as of late, have had the backdrop of a gorgeous red sunset, presumably from the forest fires. It brings an odd but pretty look to our end of the day reflection time and is just one of the hundreds of things to smile about around here.
