Why can't I have peanut butter with my toast?
Sorry, hungry bear, but we try to keep the camp safe for everyone.
Some people are very allergic to peanuts, you know!
In fact, the use / storage / preparation of food in buildings other than Ross Lodge is not allowed.

Is their an easy way to communicate with my little camper?
     To encourage independence, phone calls are not allowed.  In an emergency, we contact you.
     Email the camp and we will pass the email along!
or   Bring postcards with you when you drop of your child and we will pass them on later.
or   Asking about Purchasing postcards and KEC clothing from us at camp start to sneak in!

Can just anyone pick up my child and just leave without talking to anyone at camp?
Heavens, no!  The person who picks up the child must sign out and be on our "OK to pick up"  list!
And, please be on time, - no child likes to think they have been forgotten.

Can friends outside of the Red Deer Presbytery attend camp?
Yes - although we encourage you to try a camp in your presbytery, if you believe Kasota East Camp is the right fit for you, please register!!

Can people not affiliated with the United Church attend KEC?
Yes!!  But please remember this is a Christian camping community.  We study and teach God's word, live by example and revel in the beauty of the world that God created.

Can I share a cabin with my friend?
We do our best to accommodate requests to share cabins.  However, this is not guaranteed.  Please make sure your request is documented on the Medications & Concerns area of the registration form

Are there sponsorship programs for campers?
We really want you to attend KEC!  If you are having difficulty coming up with all of the funds, please contact your United Church or e-mail us.  Be sure to register early, and save with the Early Bird Rates.  Also, we need help with getting camp ready for the season - attend camp clean-up in May and receive a discount.

Will there be an adult craft at Family Camp this year?
Participants often organize their own crafts, volunteer to lead a craft, or have suggestions.
If anyone has any suggestions or talents they would like to share, please contact camp.

Can I work as a volunteer for camp?
Yes!  We are often looking for volunteer counsellors to make our programs run!  Please visit the employment page for more details.

How can I donate to camp?
Camp is a non-profit organization, and relies on donations and fundraising to operate.  If you would like to donate money to camp, please e-mail us.  Also, visit our Fundraising page to learn about new projects that we are counting our pennies for!

I don't have money, but I would still like to help at KEC.  What can I do?
Every year there are new challenges camp requires.  We often have a wishlist of items that we need for crafts or special events.   Attend our spring or fall camp clean-up day. Stay tuned to our Events page and then come along to lend a helping a hand.    .E-mail our board of directors and see if there is a committee that could use a fresh idea or a new perspective.
