KEC is seeking creative, ambitious, wacky and caring staff for the 2009 summer
season. The following positions are available:
Assistant Directors must be willing to work in conjunction with the Camp Director to build a strong team that supports the mission of the camp. For a complete job description, please click on the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR title.
Our head cook is a very appreciated person at camp! If you like to cook for large groups, and have fun at the same time, then this job is for you! Menu planning, food ordering, and kitchen budget will all be your responsibility. A Safe Food Handling course must be completed. For a complete job description, please click on the HEAD COOK title.
The assistant cook will work as a team with the head cook to plan and create nutrious, filling meals for all campers and staff! A Safe Food Handling course must be completed. For a complete job description, please click on the ASSISTANT COOK title.
LIFEGUARD – July & August
Our lifeguard must be a minimum of 19 years of age, with current NLS certification. Although the waterfront will be your main priority, our lifeguard will be expected to participate in all aspects of camp programming and camp life! The Lifeguard will be expected to attend a training camp at KEC in June.
TEN COUNSELORS – July & August
All counselors must be a minimum of 18 years old, with prior camping experience. Counselors must have completed our CIT (Counselor In Training) program or an equivalent, and must attend a training camp at KEC in June.
VOLUNTEER (JUNIOR) COUNSELORS - July & August
We are hoping to increase the number of volunteers at camp this summer. Junior counsellors are between the ages of 16 & 18 and are wanting to spend part of their summer at KEC, assisting counselors with all their duties. If you have completed the CIT program, or an equivalent, it will be an asset!
